TEACHING EXPERIENCE

*Commenced 1989 in Adult Education with Classes at Thorpe, Brundall and Blofield

*Taught flower arranging from Beginners to Contemporary for clubs and groups, also Easton College and Norfolk Adult Education.

*Taught Certificated Flower Arranging course Level 1 to Level 4  for City & Guilds at Easton College

* Taught NAFAS/OCN Diploma  Level 1 to Level 4 at Easton College and Thorpe Adult Education Centre

*I have been teaching leisure classes and workshops for Groups and Clubs and Charities since 1985.

* 2012 to 2016 – teaching in-depth flower arranging course as an individual teacher.

*2017 to date - teaching classes and workshops for E of E Area and as an individual teacher

*2023 completed teaching East of England certificated course "Foundation in Floral Artistry"

*2023 Leisure classes at The Walled Garden Plumstead, Norwich.

COMPETITIONS

*Have won numerous cups and awards at Local and National Levels

*Gold and special award at World Show 2002, Silver gilt at Chelsea.

*Best in Show many times at Royal Norfolk Show 1989, 1991, 1995, 1997, 2004, 2013, 2014 

*Represented my club on numerous occasions

*Have also competed at Springfields, Suffolk Show, Chelsea, Floristry Society and in Italy

*2017 - Represented East of England Area of NAFAS in Blackpool National Show for 'Designer of the Year' (achieved to semi-finals)

​*2023 - 2nd award at National Competitions in Gloucester

*2023 - Norfolk Show - two thirds

*2024 - East of England Area show - FIRST and BEST IN SHOW

MISCELLANEOUS

*Designed Flower Festivals including St. John’s Cathedral

*Organised many Competitive Shows

*Exhibited at numerous Flower Festivals

*Exhibited at Blickling Hall 'Flowers at Christmas' for 20 years

*2000  - 2017 Served on Flower Club Committees and also on Norwich Group Committee (also as Treasurer)

*2014 – Show Assistant at East of England Area Show

*2000 - Founded Thorpe Flower Club & was President until 2017 (closed after lockdown)

*2014 - Set up Website for East of England Area and now Web Administrator for Area.

*2014 – Officer on Committee of East of England Area of NAFAS as Treasurer until 2020.

*2018 - Assisted in setting up The Circle Study Group in Norfolk (closed after lockdown)

*2018 - 2021 - Education Representaive for East of England Area of NAFAS. 

*2023 - Volunteer at the Little Plumstead Community Walled Garden - gardening and flower arranging classes

*2023 to date -  Education Representative for East of England Area of NAFAS
